De Angelis Pledges to Be ‘Clear,’ ‘Constant’

Councilor-elect Rosemarie de Angelis promised today to be “a clear, consistent, and constant voice” for South Portland residents.

“I think South Portland was fortunate to have three people who were willing to commit their time, energy and talents on behalf of our citizens,” said de Angelis, referring to her opponents, Gary Crosby and Christoper Kessler.

“I am honored to be chosen. My single goal is to be a clear, consistent, and constant voice for the people. Nothing more,” said de Angelis, who returns to the Council, after a previous loss to Jim Soule.

De Angelis said she believes that many voters recalled her earlier service on the Council, which made a difference in the vote. “I do think people… remember me and that was enough to gain their confidence,” said de Angelis, a career educator who works at Southern Maine Community College.

Congratulations, Rosemary!  It was a respectful campaign, and many kudos and appreciation should go to Gary Crosby and Chris Kessler for this.

Congrats and kudos to Rosemarie and her return to CC.  I look forward to your hard work and efforts during these challenging times.  Thank you for your spirit and willingness to take up the cause and help a So Po in need.
I am here to help too and look forward to any collaboration.

I would like to first thank the voters of South Portland for having the faith and confidence in me for this election. Most specifically, I would also like to thank Chris Kessler and Gary Crosby for being willing to give their time and energy to this city, for running a friendly and respectful campaign, and for hopefully being available to continue to serve this city. I hope to call on both of them for help during my term.

I hope to represent the citizens of SoPo with honesty, integrity and transparency.

Graciously,
Rosemarie De Angelis
