Dog Licenses Due; Apply Online

Here is a message from the SoPo dog owners’ group:

Subject: DOG LICENSES ARE DUE FOR 2010

Dog licenses are due for 2010, if you didn’t get yours you have this weekend to get them online before a LATE FEE applies!

For South Portland residents go to: http://www.southportland.org, scroll down, on lower right click “dog licensing”. Late fee starts 2/1 and is $15 in addition to the license fee.

If you live in Portland or another town go to your City’s webpage and see if they have this service available.

REMEMBER TO HAVE YOUR DOG IMMUNIZED FOR RABIES EVERY 3 YEARS (ASK YOUR VET!)

Observer…........Remarkable ! I have walked the Beach every day for the last two weeks and even have noted to a friend how clean the Beach is at this time of the year which has not always been so. To my knowledge I believe SoPoDog held its last clean up at the beginning of January ( I’ll stand corrected if I’m wrong). During the Winter it can be quite difficult to get people out on to the frozen Beach. SoPoDog usually schedules a big clean up date at the beginning of April when the weather improves.
In the meantime, why don’t you meet me on the Beach after the weekend, (to give dog owners and their dogs a chance to sully the Beach) and you can show me why you have to ” watch where you step ”

Yea your Mom,even though THOUSANDS didn’t want dogs on the beach the THOUSANDS that did won. Since the majority rules , you should live with the fact that dog owners have reverted back to their careless ways. Like election year politicians, only need be aware when the public eye is on them. Haven’t seen many announcements for clean ups lately either.Take a walk on the beach and watch where you step… Live with it

hey “Weekend??”—uhh, did you miss the part of the article (basically the entire article) where it explains that you can pay them online—no trip to city hall required?

By Can you read? on 2010 01 31

No one sent folks to city hall, they directed them to register their pet ONLINE!

By Weekend?? on 2010 01 31

Sure, send folks to City Hall on a weekend when they are CLOSED!!

By Actually on 2010 01 31

According to the notice I received in the mail, dog owners have until February 5th to register without penalty.
