Message: Councilor-elect Rosemarie de Angelis promised today to be “a clear, consistent, and constant voice” for South Portland residents. “I think South Portland was fortunate to have three people who were willing to commit their time, energy and talents on behalf of our citizens,” said de Angelis, referring to her opponents, Gary Crosby and Christoper Kessler. “I am honored to be chosen. My single goal is to be a clear, consistent, and constant voice for the people. Nothing more,” said de Angelis, who returns to the Council, after a previous loss to Jim Soule. De Angelis said she believes that many voters recalled her earlier service on the Council, which made a difference in the vote. “I do think people… remember me and that was enough to gain their confidence,” said de Angelis, a career educator who works at Southern Maine Community College. http://www.southportlander.com/index.php/1164/
