No, I didn’t notice that… maybe because the article says nothing about cutting funding for roads and bridges. Cutting the gas tax (or stopping the automatic increases) would not necessarily mean a cut in the funding of roads and bridges.

Notice how the Republican who works for a social service agency wants to cut funding for roads and bridges, but doesn’t say anything about cutting social services!

Oh of course! (knocking forehead) If you run for the Maine State House of Representatives and lose, you automatically get appointed to the South Portland City Council. Sure, now I get it. Joking aside, a win is a win and a loss means you’d best have a day job. ‘course a win means you’d best have a day job, too, cuz neither job pays enough to live on And, a republican win in this city by any margin is a major victory! Should be interesting.

Dear KatNip, My take is that residents preferred him making a mess up in Augusta than here on the City Council which is why he kept narrowly winning the House seat. Like sour milk, his expiration date as a politician has expired.

It does mention that Glynn was term limited, so he got elected four straight terms. Not all that miserable!

Why no mention in the article of Kevin’s failed run for the Senate Seat occupied by Lynn Bromley? He was beaten miserably.

Give me a break, If it were someone you liked you would be overjoyed. Both party’s are the same. Go independent and vote for the person not the party and maybe things will improve. Besides whether you like Kevin Glynn or not cutting a tax is good in my eyes. The state is over bloated and has been for years. To them a cut is a reduction in an increase. Logic only a government can have.

Cutting the gas tax as the lead in to a comprehensive energy policy? Just like a republican to tap into the current fear of the day. Now watch Kevin run down to SPCTV, (which exists thanks to our tax dollars) to start airing his self produced campaign ads disguised as talk shows. Taxes are only good when they are self serving.
