Real Estate Transfers August-September

The big news in real estate sales for August and September seems to be that condominium units have reached new low prices. Buyers were able to purchase condos for as low as $100,000 (on Minott) and $108,000 (on Breakwater Dr.) in recent sales.

Beach Homes Fetch Top Dollar

Summer proved to be a solid season for commercial and residential real estate sales in South Portland. The number of sales and prices seemed to rebound from a sluggish winter and spring.

Some single-family homes near the water captured top dollar, including bungalows on F street, in Knightville-Mill Creek, and Franklin Terrace, near Willard Beach. Both homes sold for nearly a half-million dollars.

In commercial sales, a printing plant near the Maine Mall fetched $7 million and an office building on Southborough Drive sold for $9 million.
